We saw a tremendous opportunity in working with HMC Farms because of their offering, attitude, and community-building, give-back vibe. HMC Farms had a strong, high-quality product but lacked a compelling digital presence. Their brand design was minimal, and their website didn’t effectively communicate their rich family history, diverse product offerings, or the value they bring to their customers.

About HMC Farms
HMC Farms is a family-owned business with a rich history in fruit farming, known for producing some of the best table grapes and stone fruit in the United States. Under the leadership of Harold McClarty, they have continued to innovate while staying true to their roots.
They play a crucial role in the community by providing jobs, supporting local economies, and promoting sustainable farming practices. Their focus on renewable energy and food safety sets a standard within the industry, contributing to healthier, more environmentally friendly agricultural practices.
Visual Identity
The goal was to modernize HMC Farms’ visual identity while preserving their established brand recognition. We wanted to create a cohesive brand experience that would resonate with a contemporary audience. We helped bring an energized approach to life by drawing inspiration from their history and old fruit packaging. The badges we created were inspired by old fruit crates and packaging, resulting in hand-drawn, scrapbook-style elements that evoke a sense of tradition and freshness.
Website Design
The primary objective was to create a website that clearly communicated HMC Farms’ family history, product availability, and value. We aimed to improve user navigation and ensure that each type of visitor, from buyers to consumers, had a clear path to follow. We restructured the site to make it easier for different types of users to find the information they need, enhancing the storytelling aspect with compelling copy and clear calls to action. This helped transform their website into an engaging platform that effectively communicated their brand story and made it easy for users to connect with them.
Badges
The badges were designed to visually represent HMC Farms’ product diversity, including flavor profiles, availability, and the distinction between organic and non-organic products. These badges help communicate key information quickly and engage users without overwhelming them with too much text or complexity.
